Tras el modelo original de 2017 y la versión ‘Lite’ de 2019, que sólo permite el juego portátil, Nintendo presentó al nuevo integrante de la familia de Nintendo Switch: el modelo OLED. Esta versión saldrá a la venta el próximo 8 de octubre y costará 349,99 dólares en Estados Unidos; todavía no se ha revelado el precio en Latinoamérica. Estos son los detalles que debes saber.

A pesar de que conservará el mismo tamaño del modelo original, la pantalla de la nueva Nintendo Switch será de 7 pulgadas (por las 6,2 de la original), con marcos más finos y con tecnología OLED, que brinda colores más intensos y un alto contraste de imagen; además, consumirá menos batería y tendrá un tiempo de respuesta más rápido. La consola tendrá dos presentaciones: blanco y el clásico rojo neón/azul neón.
Meses antes del anuncio, los rumores sobre la nueva Nintendo Switch (modelo OLED) apuntaban a que la pantalla contaría con una resolución 720p (igual que la original) pero que al conectarlo a la TV permitiría hasta 4K. Finalmente, sí terminó siendo cierto que la pantalla contaría con la misma resolución que el modelo original pero no llegará a 4K al conectarlo a la TV: la salida de video permitirá un máximo de 1080p a 60fps.
Para jugar con la nueva Switch en sobremesa, añadieron un soporte ancho ajustable para poder disfrutar cómodamente en casi cualquier ángulo. También agregaron altavoces a la consola portátil con audio optimizado y tendrá un memoria interna de 64 GB (ampliable con tarjetas compatibles). Finalmente la base para conectar a la TV del modelo OLED contará con un puerto LAN por cable, permitiendo una conexión a internet más estable.
La familia Nintendo Switch ya vendió más de 84 millones de unidades a nivel global en sus 4 años de existencia, según su último informe financiero, y esperan poder distribuir más de 25 millones de unidades para marzo de 2022.
