Parece mentira, pero ya casi llegamos al cuarto cumpleaños de la PlayStation 5 y la Xbox Series X|S en noviembre. Estas máquinas de nueva generación de Sony y Microsoft, que salieron al mercado en el 2020, por fin lograron salir del problema del stock y ahora se pueden encontrar. Pero, ojo al dato, porque el famoso Linus Tech Tips, el youtuber que todos conocemos por sus trucos tecnológicos, se ha puesto a pensar en algo interesante: ¿se puede armar una PC mejor que estas consolas con solo 500 euros?

este man subió un video titulado "es hora de matar a la PlayStation 5". En ese video, la idea era armar una PC gamer que diera más rendimiento que la consola de Sony, pero con un presupuesto limitado. Y para sorpresa de muchos, lo logró. Construyó una computadora que le costó solo 436 euros (alrededor de 2 millones de pesos colombianos), usando piezas de segunda, como un procesador Ryzen 5600(X) y una tarjeta gráfica Intel Arc A770 de 16 GB, que es algo así como una RTX 4060 o una RX 7600.
No aguantó el formato HDR de la PS5
Cuando Linus probó el Doom Eternal, se dio cuenta de que su PC no dio la talla, porque la GPU de Intel tenía problemas con los controladores y el software, lo que hizo que los fps se quedarán entre los 20 y 30. Sin embargo, después de hacerle unos ajustes al BIOS y tocar unas cuantas configuraciones, logró un rendimiento parecido al de la consola, aunque con una condición: sin el HDR.
Ganó la PS5
Ya sabemos que el HDR de la PS5 es una joyita, pero en las tarjetas gráficas como la de Intel, esa función no está disponible. Por eso, aunque su PC gamer rendía parecido al de la PS5, en términos generales se quedó atrás por culpa de esa ventaja del HDR. Así que Linus tuvo que darle crédito tanto a Sony como a Microsoft por sacar una generación que, en relación calidad-precio, puede competir contra una buena PC. Y hasta predijo que nos va a llevar "uno o dos años" poder superar a estas consolas con un presupuesto similar para armar un PC gaming en condiciones. ¡A seguir esperando!
